How to begin understanding what the Language of Light is saying to you
Many people who are new to the Language of Light do not have any idea what it is saying. I know I certainly didn’t.
With this in mind, I’d like to share some ways to gain insight into what the Universe is sharing with you and others as you allow Light Language to speak to you and through you.
Introduction – The Layers
It’s essential to remember that Light Language is not a word-for-word language that can be translated into finite sentences like most Earth languages we’re accustomed to. Instead, it contains layers and layers of information concurrently, all of which are (in my experience) interwoven and interrelated like notes and phrases in a musical symphony.
You can begin to get a framework for understanding by discovering how Light Language interacts with you personally and being open to the subtle signals it gives your mind and body as well as how it makes you feel. A good way to do that is by intentionally creating space for the experience. The steps below describe how you can go about it and how to start gaining more personal meaning from Light Language.
Step 1: Have an experience
The easiest way to start tuning into the details of Light Language is by giving yourself space for an experience with it. It’s a bit like the idea of setting the mood for a romantic evening. When you’re interested in romance with someone, do you march right up and immediately begin engaging them in hardcore romantic actions? Probably not. You probably work into things little by little or at least give each other a few helpful cues to get the ball rolling, right? A softer approach provides time to adjust and be more open to interaction that’s mutually comfortable.
So, to set the space, you can do things like create a routine to follow each time, choose a certain pattern or ritual that relaxes you — or, conversely, be totally spontaneous and get charged up with something new based on how you’re feeling at the moment or what you’ve been receiving recently from your life experiences or Higher Self/Guidance. You can do anything that helps indicate it will be a special time during which your full Being is present.
If you’re not sure what approach to use, my advice is to start with a small routine and go from there. It can be as simple as lighting a candle before you start, sitting in a certain chair or room to give yourself the mental and physical cue that it’s “Light Language Time”, placing your hand on your heart for a few moments, etc. It doesn’t have to be a big deal or take tons of time (unless you want it to). If you’d like to read more, I go into greater detail in a related blog article about creating an experience for the Language of Light.
Step 2: Ask to receive specific words
When I want to get more details about what I have just channeled, I often ask for a message or specific words about the frequencies that have come through.
To do this, I begin by asking my Light Team, a.k.a. guides and angels, to give me words in English about the transmission. (English is my native language; use your own native language, of course, or whatever Earth language you feel most comfortable with.) Sometimes I say this out loud as a stated request; other times it is an unsaid intention. Either way they hear my call 🙂
Next I breathe calmly, feeling into my heart and body, and allowing myself to get comfortable and the mind to calm. With calmness and patience, the words start to form. Often the process begins slowly. It can be odd because there may be only one or two words at first — ones that seem completely random! — but soon others will begin to come through in and around them. It may be just a phrase or two (sometimes less).
Be open to what your guides and angels share, in any form. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get words immediately, or if you only get a couple. It’s also possible that pictures may come to guide you in receiving words (this often happens for me), or perhaps you may experience sensations in the body or around your energy field. Keep in mind that words may come to you audibly, or they may be shared with you in a subtler and more internal manner that feels closer to guided thoughts. I have found that my Light Team sometimes gives me information in ways I don’t expect, to help me more clearly recognize that it comes from them.
Thus far I have not received volumes and volumes of words about the transmissions I have channeled. Most of the time, what I receive is relatively simple ideas or statements. I ALWAYS want to know more, and the Universe almost contrarily likes to be mysterious and take us on a longer journey of discovery and learning. For me, it feels like my guides have been training me to receive information that is the most relevant and appropriate at the time I ask for it.
In addition to words, there can be visuals, physical body sensations (tingles/cold/hot/etc.), or other non-linear impressions, all of which are all part of the message. They may come through along with words or on their own. Each person receives the information differently and works with his/her/their guides in a unique way. As mentioned before, be open to any and all information that your guides share with you.
When you feel that you’ve received enough information about the transmission (or are simply ready to stop), close the session by thanking your guides/angels and expressing gratitude for what they have shared. This paves the way for you to receive even more information from them in the future.
Step 3: Record it
I sometimes do the process above with a voice recorder so that I don’t have to worry about writing anything down; I can simply speak as I receive words and other impressions.
Most computers and mobile devices now have software built in to let you easily record your voice. Simple web searches will tell you what it’s called and how to start using it. Standalone MP3 recorders are also available if preferred. You could even consider using an old-fashioned tape recorder for fun or if push-button controls would feel easier to operate while in a meditative state.
Use whatever means allows you to record the information easily, even if that be writing it out on paper instead or having a friend take notes as you speak.
For audio recordings, remember they don’t have to be perfect. You simply have to be able to hear yourself. You might wish to do a test beforehand to make sure the recorder picks you up clearly and loudly enough to be heard.
Give it a try!
If you want to know more about what your Light Language is saying, I highly encourage you to try this process or a similar one tailored to how you best interact with Spirit. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and gets you in a relaxed state is what’s best to receive the most appropriate information.
A few final pointers:
- Working with your guides and angels, eventually you yourself will have a deeper understanding of the Light Language you’re channeling than any other person on Earth could offer you.
- What you bring through will always speak most highly to you (or the person whom you’re channeling for).
- You will be able to receive more words and information about your channeled transmissions as time goes on and thus the process won’t feel so foreign.
Here’s a written Light Language transmission to help get you started. Follow this link to see a larger view of it — and then try holding your hands over the image on screen and take notice of what comes to you, or simply look at the image with a soft gaze and while tuning into the beat and energy of your heart.
I do group transmissions in my weekly Light Language Keynote recordings, and for each I set the intention to channel frequencies for the highest good of all listening now and in the future. That means that I’m included in the group, as well as an infinite number of people. Often I receive words in English or other information about the channeled Light Language, which I share, along with my impressions.
