Musical Inspiration

Music and harmony are a large part of what drives my work with vibrational healing and Light Language. They move us emotionally in ways that, in my opinion, nothing else can. Below are some musical pieces and moments that I find uplifting as well as a few favorite songs.

Benedictus – music by Karl Jenkins (performed by 2CELLOS)
Lullay My Liking – arr. Phillip Lawson (performed by The King’s Singers)
Examples of overtone singing by Anna-Maria Hefele (amaaaaazing!!!)
Prayer for Peace – by Paula Foley Tillen (performed by Milwaukee Choral Artists)
Hymne au Soleil – music by Lili Boulanger (performed by Philharmonia Chor Stuttgart)
Note: This piece is boisterous and a bit wacky. I think that’s one of the reasons why I love it 🙂
Trinity Te Deum – music by Ēriks Ešenvalds (performed by The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge)
Amazing chords sung by powerful voices. The middle section is somewhat more laid-back and “contemplative” (i.e. stick with it; the end is worth it).
Sleep – Eric Whitacre (performed by VOCES8)

The Music of Life

"What makes us feel drawn to music is that our whoIe being is music; our mind and our body, the nature in which we live, the nature that has made us, all that is beneath and around us, it is all music. We are close to all this music, and live and move and have our being in music. The mystery of sound is mysticism; the harmony of life is religion. The knowledge of vibrations is metaphysics, the analysis of atoms is science, and their harmonious grouping is art. The rhythm of form is poetry, and the rhythm of sound is music. This shows that music is the art of arts and the science of all sciences; and it contains the fountain of all knowledge within itself."

— Inayat Khan, The Music of Life
